Welcome
to my website on our ascent of Aconcagua in Argentina in January 2003.
With its altitude of 6962 meters, Aconcagua is the highest mountain in
South America.
You might be wondering: what's the use of this website, there are
already many other Aconcagua websites? Well, Wouter van Kammen, my
climbing companion on Aconcagua, died on July 21 2003 in an avalanche on
Alpamayo in Peru. As a result, the memory of our trip
on Aconcagua has become very special, and therefore I
would like to give you a report on this trip.
